Opera Der Rosenkavalier R Strauss

Der Rosenkavalier is a fairy-story of a Vienna long imagined, conceived for the stage as an 18th century comedy of manners. Strauss sets out a fable of thwarted love through the characters of the middle-aged and married the Marschallin and her teenage lover Octavian. Their relationship is complicated when Octavian is sent to present a silver rose to the fiancée of the lascivious Baron Ochs. Felicity Lott plays Marschallin and Kurt Moll plays Baron Ochs.
