October/November Art Classes

Dar al Founoun Art School

Located right in the hearth of Souq Waqif, in a characteristic oriental building with state-of-the-art facilities and spaces in which to make, live and breathe art, Dar al Founoun aims to promote art education, art creation and art appreciation.

In a supportive, creative, non-threatening atmosphere, the art school offers to art enthusiasts of all ages and venues a variety of courses such as painting, drawing, printing, ceramic, textile and sculpture, as well as a steady stream of workshops with visiting artists and professionals from the local and international art scenes.

Dar Al Founoun’s philosophy is to teach the basic rules - to demystify art - and to then motivate the artist to break those rules and thereby create their own unique style. Dar Al Founoun encourages the artists to develop their own creativity and imagination.
In addition to bringing a broad scope of visual reference into the instruction it supports ongoing dialogue with regard to techniques, artists, art history, and museum exhibits.
